Liz Krebs brings over 30 years of experience in financial services, along with a deep commitment to making financial planning more inclusive, welcoming, and personal. In 2004, she founded Krebs Financial with a clear purpose: to build a practice where women and others who have historically been left out of financial conversations feel seen, respected, and empowered to take control of their financial lives.

A graduate of Trinity College, Liz began her career at Deutsche Asset Management (formerly Kemper Financial Services) in 1992 and earned her Certified Financial Planner designation in 1999. Over the years, she’s become known for her steady, thoughtful approach to advising, creating space for clients to speak honestly about financial hardship and goals without fear or shame. Since 2022, her leadership and commitment to client care have earned her a place on the Cetera Financial Specialists’ Leaders Council.

Liz works with many clients in the “sandwich generation” - those raising children while also caring for aging parents. She helps them navigate complex challenges like managing generational wealth, planning for healthcare in retirement, and designing diversified investment portfolios that can weather economic uncertainty. Her work is rooted in practical strategy and long-term perspective, always grounded in the unique goals of the families she serves.

Beyond her client work, Liz is actively engaged in the Chicago community. She currently serves as President of the Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce, sits on the board of My Block My Hood My City, and is a board member for the Trinity College Scholarship for Illinois Residents. She also provides pro-bono financial advising to employees of Friends of the Children and previously served as Treasurer of the Professional Women’s Club of Chicago from 2017–2022.

Liz lives in Lincoln Square with her husband and their Australian Shepherd Louie, and is a proud mom of two: her son is currently attending Occidental College in Los Angeles, and her daughter is a recent graduate of Hamilton College in upstate New York. She loves staying active, cooking at home, and spending time with her family.

Emily Harris

Registered Representative

773.524.2773

emily@krebsfinancial.net

Emily deeply believes financial planning should feel approachable, not overwhelming and never surrounded by judgment. Her approach combines strategic planning with the human side of money because, in her experience, our financial choices are rarely just about dollars and cents.

After graduating from the University of Kentucky, Emily started her career with Foresters Financial and later joined the Cetera network, where she worked across admin, practice management, and client planning. That range of experience gave her a strong foundation in how great financial advice gets built—and how much better it works when it’s rooted in trust, empathy, and behavioral insights.

At Krebs Financial, she partners closely with Liz to support clients through big decisions and life transitions. She especially enjoys working with young professionals and growing families, helping them build wealth and align their money with what matters most. Emily also leads the firm’s Money School curriculum and volunteers her time teaching financial literacy workshops through nonprofit organizations across Chicago. She’s deeply passionate about women’s health and advocacy and has worked closely with the Ampersand Sexual Violence Resource Center in Lexington, KY.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find Emily walking her dog Theo, playing volleyball with friends, or trying a new Chicago restaurant.
