Emily deeply believes financial planning should feel approachable, not overwhelming and never surrounded by judgment. Her approach combines strategic planning with the human side of money because, in her experience, our financial choices are rarely just about dollars and cents.
After graduating from the University of Kentucky, Emily started her career with Foresters Financial and later joined the Cetera network, where she worked across admin, practice management, and client planning. That range of experience gave her a strong foundation in how great financial advice gets built—and how much better it works when it’s rooted in trust, empathy, and behavioral insights.
At Krebs Financial, she partners closely with Liz to support clients through big decisions and life transitions. She especially enjoys working with young professionals and growing families, helping them build wealth and align their money with what matters most. Emily also leads the firm’s Money School curriculum and volunteers her time teaching financial literacy workshops through nonprofit organizations across Chicago. She’s deeply passionate about women’s health and advocacy and has worked closely with the Ampersand Sexual Violence Resource Center in Lexington, KY.
Outside of work, you’ll likely find Emily walking her dog Theo, playing volleyball with friends, or trying a new Chicago restaurant.
